Project Results

I

PR 1 - Theory

A blended workshop for representatives of all partners in the project about the fundamental theoretical frameworks and design principles of Ludodidactics. This workshop is aimed establishing a communal knowledge-base and language on which we can build new theories and applications within our communal aims within the project. Subjects that will be touched in the program will be:

  • Fundamentals of game design for designing learning
  • The Learners perspective
  • Epistemic Framework Theory
  • Learners Objectives vs Learning Outcomes
  • The Direct feedback loop
  • Mechanics, Dynamics & Aesthetics

PR 2 - (re)DESIGN part 1

All partners in the consortium will (re)DESIGN a course, session or workshop (or any other part of their curriculum/offerings) with the newly acquired knowledge from project result 1. In applying this new theoretical knowledge in their own organization the understanding of Ludodidactics will have a more profound character, and the connection with the theoretical frameworks and practices already in use will be more profound. This design process will be guided by experts from the HKU team.

PR 3 - Profile of the trainer

Defining the appropriate profile of the trainer by comparing didactic, art educational ( constructivism) and Ludodidactic theories. How does Ludodidactic & Epistemic Framing change the role of the trainer/teacher? In the elaboration of the profile, emphasis will be placed on the trainer’s role as coach, facilitator, observer, his skills, methodical and pedagogical competencies.

PR 4 - DESIGN part 2

Starting from each partners’ vision statement, targetgroup and context, participants will look at the implications of the learnings of PR1-3 for their own portfolio.

PR 5 - Toolkit

The final guideline The toolkit will gather all useful and important information, developed throughout the project: -Information relating to the guideline and methods of a training , -practical examples and case studies, -ways to innovate existing trainings. This toolkit will enable trainers/ teachers/ coaches to organize training courses and develop new training courses based on the building blocks of this project. The Toolkit will consist of:

  • Description of the criteria and conditions concerning the location, the organization and guidance
  • Theoretical guideline of a training in the field of Sport
  • Theoretical guideline of a training in the field of Art
  • Competence profile of the trainer/teacher/coach in the field of sport and the field of Art
  • A practical training program for the trainer
  • Explanation about where to find all information about the project
